In UMEP, it is possible to run simulations for any day using the ERA5 plug-in. However, this option is not used in this code because it requires additional setup steps, including the creation of an ERA5 account. Moreover, it could not be made to work due to upstream issues (see: https://github.com/UMEP-dev/UMEP/issues/685#issuecomment-2547039370).
